Vestiges

In 2025, I relocated from the US to the South of France. Born from this transatlantic transition, “Vestiges” is a project that navigates the tension between new beginnings and the weight of adjustment. It is also a visual exploration of the unseen and the intangible, a way to capture what can be observed beyond perception. Through everyday scenes, it becomes a rebellion against the unease of waiting, the anxiety, the social isolation, and the uncertainty of change. Each photograph is a search for truth, not just beauty; a conversation with the surroundings, perhaps a fresh look at the ordinary through the eyes of a foreigner. The word “vestiges” associates with traces, remnants, and echoes—things left behind by humanity and by each individual. In this in-between space, the images reveal fragments of identity, memory, and the quiet resilience of starting anew. Work in Progress.
