Impromptu

A collection of street photography captured in San Francisco and Los Angeles in 2023 and 2024. This project holds a deeply personal significance for me, as the images were taken during my pregnancy and the early months of my son’s life. As a female street photographer, blending into the urban landscape to capture candid moments is always a challenge. This was amplified during pregnancy and while carrying a newborn—requiring heightened awareness, swift movements, and a deliberate effort to avoid drawing attention to myself for safety. The series reflects not only the energy of the streets where I lived but also my own perspective of a mother navigating the world with a new sense of vulnerability and purpose.
